He began his career as a musician so autodidact and established himself as a composer and scholar of Brazilian instrumental music.
He has recorded several CDs among which “Pernambuco's Music”, with group Oficina de Cordas de Pernambuco (1993), “Musical Journey through the Northeast of Brazil” (Alvidis, 1994), “Som de Bandolim”(1996 solo CD nominated for Sharp category Revelation Instrumental), “Os Bambas do Bandolim” (1998 Kuarup compilation discs), Festival of Choro of RJ "Chorando no Rio" (2002), Bandolim do Brasil (2007) and ”Um Bandolim que Chora” (2009).

He participated in concerts and CDs of various artists of Brazilian Popular Music as Hermeto Pascoal, Raimundo Fagner, Beth Carvalho, Eleazar de Carvalho Orchestra (playing mandolin concertos Gnattali Radames), Fausto Nilo, Altamiro Carrilho (flutist), José Menezes and many other musicians of Brazilian culture.
He was a professor in the Brazilian School of Choro Raphael Rabello (1998 to 2001) and a professor of popular Brazilian mandolin at the "Escola de Música de Brasília" (Music School of Brasília, 2002-2004 and 2009-2010).
Won the 1st place in Choro Festival of Rio de Janeiro (2001) promoted by the Museum of Image and Sound in Rio de Janeiro - MIS, with the composition of his own entitled "Balançadinho", written for mandolin and Conjunto Regional.
Participated in the International Festival of La Coruña "Ciudad de Cristal", Spain in September 2004 with the Jorge Cardoso Quartet and in 2006 with Jorge Cardoso Trio.
Having lived in Italy, from October 2004 to 2008, where he graduated in Classical Mandolin in the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, with a scholarship granted by the Italian government. Participated as mandolinist Orchestra mandolins and guitars from Brescia under the direction of Maestro Ugo Orlandi and Claudio Mandonico, having performed several concerts in Italy, France and Germany.
He participated in the Fifth National Meeting of Choro da UNICAMP, on 27/04/2009, as a speaker on the "Sotaques do Choro" (accents of crying), along with musical performance. In January 2010 and 2011, he participated as a professor of mandolin and cavaquinho in XXVIII and XXIX Oficina de Música de Curitiba (Music Workshop of Curitiba).
In 2011, completed the master's course graduate of the University of Brasilia in the line of research aimed at musicology. As soloist mandolin develops musical activity publicizing Brazilian music to the public in several countries.
